Release Notes

What changed in each version of Daylight. Updates install on your Jira site by themselves.

2.7.0 · October 19, 2026

  • The Team view names the month you picked in the summary under the tables.
  • When you add a person to a schedule, the Cancel button sits next to the search box.

2.6.0 · October 19, 2026

  • Settings is cleaner. Names show in normal text, rows line up, and there is more space between text and buttons.
  • The audit log fits one line per change, with shorter dates.
  • The team change log uses plain words, such as "created team".
  • In Reports, you can always group by Account.

2.5.0 · October 19, 2026

  • Time not on an issue. Log vacation, sick days, meetings and admin time from one internal Jira project. These categories show at the top of every timesheet and are never billable.
  • Work schedules and holidays. Set hours per weekday and holiday sets for a team or a person. You can add holidays from a calendar file (.ics). The timesheet shows logged against expected hours.
  • Expected hours on the Team view. Each person shows hours, expected hours and the difference.
  • Audit log. Every time entry added, changed or deleted, in Daylight or in Jira, with the before and after. A change to a submitted or approved period shows as "changes after submit" to the approver.

2.4.0 · October 19, 2026

  • Client accounts. Bill time to accounts that are separate from Jira projects, with their own rates. Import accounts from a CSV file.
  • Entry fields. Add up to 10 fields to each time entry, such as Work type. A field can be a pick list and can be required.
  • Import from Tempo. Upload Tempo's raw logged-time CSV, check the preview, and import. One select undoes the import.
  • Rate order. The most specific rate applies: the person on the account, then the account, then the project, then the person.
